Jitter

A small random amount added to a wait so many clients do not retry in step.

What it means

If a thousand clients all wait exactly 4 seconds after an outage, they all return at the same instant. Adding random jitter spreads them out.

How Onekey handles it

Onekey applies 20 percent jitter to its own webhook retry delays (1 minute, 5 minutes, 30 minutes, 2 hours, then 12 hours), and advises jitter in client-side backoff.
