Negative caching

Remembering that something does not exist, so the question is not asked again.

What it means

Caching a "not found" answer for a short time spares the source from repeated lookups of the same missing record.

How Onekey handles it

A record that does not exist is cached as not found for a few minutes. Repeating the lookup returns 404 immediately and free.
