How it works

GET /v1/lookup?url= matches a link against the URL templates each endpoint declares and runs the one endpoint that fits, with no guessing. This page first resolves your link in the browser with the same rules, against 65 templates on 33 sites, so you see the endpoint, its price and the parameters it pulled out of the URL, then makes the real lookup call. A link that matches nothing gets a free 422 UNSUPPORTED_URL. The URL to endpoint finder shows the matching rules in detail without running anything.

The free tool runs links for Hacker News, Bluesky, DEV, Lobsters, GitLab, Stack Exchange, npm, PyPI, crates.io, RubyGems, Docker Hub, Hugging Face, Open Library, Wikipedia and YouTube. Other supported links are matched and explained but not run here, because they can use paid data routes. See URL lookup for the full list of supported sites.
