# Which endpoint should I use?

Onekey has many endpoints per platform. This page answers the questions that come up most. When a question is about price, the endpoint page always shows the exact credits; see also the [price list](https://onekey.dev/docs/endpoint-pricing.md).

## Start here

| You have | You want | Use |
| --- | --- | --- |
| A public URL (a post, video, product, repo, profile) | The data behind it | [URL lookup](https://onekey.dev/docs/lookup.md): `GET /v1/lookup?url=`. It picks the endpoint for you and charges that endpoint's price. |
| A handle or id and a platform | One record | The platform's profile, post or item endpoint. Open the [catalog](https://onekey.dev/docs/platforms.md). |
| A topic, brand or phrase | Posts across platforms | [Universal search](https://onekey.dev/docs/universal-search.md) for a ranked, planned answer, or [multi-platform search](https://onekey.dev/docs/search-multi.md) when you choose the platforms. |
| A handle | The same creator on several platforms | [Creator card](https://onekey.dev/docs/search-multi.md#creator-card). |
| A list of ids or URLs | Many records in one request | [Batch](https://onekey.dev/docs/batch.md). |
| Something that should be checked on a schedule | A webhook when it changes | A [monitor](https://onekey.dev/docs/monitors.md). |
| A question about a brand, creator or topic | A packaged answer | A [report](https://onekey.dev/docs/reports.md). |

## A profile, or a profile with its posts?

Many platforms have a plain profile endpoint and a fuller variant. On Instagram, TikTok and X the plain one returns the account; the `profile_full` variant returns the account with extra detail in one call: [`instagram.profile`](https://onekey.dev/docs/api/instagram/profile.md) and [`instagram.profile_full`](https://onekey.dev/docs/api/instagram/profile_full.md), [`tiktok.profile`](https://onekey.dev/docs/api/tiktok/profile.md) and [`tiktok.profile_full`](https://onekey.dev/docs/api/tiktok/profile_full.md), [`x.profile`](https://onekey.dev/docs/api/x/profile.md) and [`x.profile_full`](https://onekey.dev/docs/api/x/profile_full.md). Pick the plain one when you only need the numbers, and the full one when a second call would otherwise follow. The price of each is on its page.

## One post or a list of posts?

- A single post by id or URL: [`instagram.post`](https://onekey.dev/docs/api/instagram/post.md), [`tiktok.video`](https://onekey.dev/docs/api/tiktok/video.md), [`x.tweet`](https://onekey.dev/docs/api/x/tweet.md), [`youtube.video`](https://onekey.dev/docs/api/youtube/video.md), [`reddit.post`](https://onekey.dev/docs/api/reddit/post.md).
- A creator's recent posts: [`instagram.posts`](https://onekey.dev/docs/api/instagram/posts.md), [`tiktok.user_videos`](https://onekey.dev/docs/api/tiktok/user_videos.md), [`x.user_tweets`](https://onekey.dev/docs/api/x/user_tweets.md), [`youtube.channel_videos`](https://onekey.dev/docs/api/youtube/channel_videos.md), [`reddit.user_posts`](https://onekey.dev/docs/api/reddit/user_posts.md). These are list endpoints and page with a cursor; see [Pagination](https://onekey.dev/docs/pagination.md).
- Posts that match a search: the platform's search endpoint, for example [`tiktok.search_videos`](https://onekey.dev/docs/api/tiktok/search_videos.md), [`x.search`](https://onekey.dev/docs/api/x/search.md), [`reddit.search_posts`](https://onekey.dev/docs/api/reddit/search_posts.md), [`youtube.search`](https://onekey.dev/docs/api/youtube/search.md).

## Search one platform, a few, or everywhere?

| If | Use |
| --- | --- |
| You know the platform | That platform's search endpoint. Cheapest, and every filter it supports is a parameter. |
| You want a few named platforms in one answer | `GET /v1/search/multi` with `platforms=`. Rows arrive in one shape; add `fuse=rrf` to merge the rankings. |
| You do not know where the conversation is | `GET /v1/search/universal`. It plans the platforms from your query, fans out, and rank-fuses the results. `dry_run=true` shows the plan and the worst-case price first. |

## Comments

- Comments under a post: [`tiktok.comments`](https://onekey.dev/docs/api/tiktok/comments.md), [`instagram.comments`](https://onekey.dev/docs/api/instagram/comments.md), [`youtube.comments`](https://onekey.dev/docs/api/youtube/comments.md), [`reddit.post_comments`](https://onekey.dev/docs/api/reddit/post_comments.md).
- Replies to one comment: [`tiktok.comment_replies`](https://onekey.dev/docs/api/tiktok/comment_replies.md), [`instagram.post_comment_replies`](https://onekey.dev/docs/api/instagram/post_comment_replies.md), [`youtube.comment_replies`](https://onekey.dev/docs/api/youtube/comment_replies.md).
- Comments that match a keyword across a platform: [`reddit.search_comments`](https://onekey.dev/docs/api/reddit/search_comments.md).

## Transcripts

Video and audio transcripts exist as their own endpoints: [`youtube.transcript`](https://onekey.dev/docs/api/youtube/transcript.md), [`tiktok.post_transcript`](https://onekey.dev/docs/api/tiktok/post_transcript.md), [`reddit.post_transcript`](https://onekey.dev/docs/api/reddit/post_transcript.md), [`x.tweet_transcript`](https://onekey.dev/docs/api/x/tweet_transcript.md). They are priced separately from the post.

## Ads

Ad library endpoints are per network: [`facebook.ad_library`](https://onekey.dev/docs/api/facebook/ad_library.md) (Meta), [`tiktok.adlibrary_search`](https://onekey.dev/docs/api/tiktok/adlibrary_search.md), [`google.company_ads`](https://onekey.dev/docs/api/google/company_ads.md), [`linkedin.ads_search`](https://onekey.dev/docs/api/linkedin/ads_search.md).

## Apps and stores

Apple apps: [`itunes.search_apps`](https://onekey.dev/docs/api/itunes/search_apps.md) and [`itunes.lookup_app`](https://onekey.dev/docs/api/itunes/lookup_app.md). Google Play: [`googleplay.search`](https://onekey.dev/docs/api/googleplay/search.md) and [`googleplay.app`](https://onekey.dev/docs/api/googleplay/app.md). Charts: [`app_store.app_chart`](https://onekey.dev/docs/api/app_store/app_chart.md).

## Products and reviews

- Amazon: [`amazon.search`](https://onekey.dev/docs/api/amazon/search.md), [`amazon.product`](https://onekey.dev/docs/api/amazon/product.md), [`amazon.reviews`](https://onekey.dev/docs/api/amazon/reviews.md), [`amazon.bestsellers`](https://onekey.dev/docs/api/amazon/bestsellers.md).
- Other retailers each have their own platform page; use the [catalog](https://onekey.dev/docs/platforms.md) and its category filter.
- Reviews of businesses: [`trustpilot.reviews`](https://onekey.dev/docs/api/trustpilot/reviews.md), [`yelp.reviews`](https://onekey.dev/docs/api/yelp/reviews.md), [`tripadvisor.reviews`](https://onekey.dev/docs/api/tripadvisor/reviews.md).

## Jobs

Onekey has job boards as platforms (for example [`remotive.jobs`](https://onekey.dev/docs/api/remotive/jobs.md), [`remoteok.jobs`](https://onekey.dev/docs/api/remoteok/jobs.md), [`himalayas.jobs`](https://onekey.dev/docs/api/himalayas/jobs.md), [`themuse.jobs`](https://onekey.dev/docs/api/themuse/jobs.md), [`greenhouse.jobs`](https://onekey.dev/docs/api/greenhouse/jobs.md), [`lever.postings`](https://onekey.dev/docs/api/lever/postings.md), [`ashby.jobs`](https://onekey.dev/docs/api/ashby/jobs.md)) and company job pages. [Universal search](https://onekey.dev/docs/universal-search.md) can search several at once.

## Fresh numbers at scale

For one value, call the single endpoint. For hundreds of ids, use [batch](https://onekey.dev/docs/batch.md): one request, per-row results, and only the rows that returned data are billed. A repeat inside the cache window is free either way, see [Caching](https://onekey.dev/docs/caching.md).

## Still unsure?

Search the [catalog](https://onekey.dev/docs/platforms.md) or press the search key on any docs page, read the [category](https://onekey.dev/docs/categories.md) that fits, or see the [common jobs](https://onekey.dev/docs/common-jobs.md) page for end-to-end recipes. If the answer you need has no endpoint, [tell us](https://onekey.dev/enterprise).
